yet another mention

It's probably the most common topic i talk about on this blog, but I am about to talk about Dr Who again.

Contary to how it must seem, I am not obsessed with the show. I like it, it is very well done, but I would sooner watch Stargate or star Trek, and I would sooner spend my time at just hanging out with friends. Now I know what you're thinking, and actually I do have friends. In fact I'e probably watched most of the Dr Who episodes at someone else's house.

Anyway, to my point. the BBC put it on earlier this week so missed it.

That's all I have to say.

Guess who missed their train back to Yeovil?! Guess who had to get the early morning train and get off at Sherborne to go straight to college?!

green with envy

Yes green. Really quite green. Like a leaf.

Both Dan and Andy, with little regard for their studies, have gone to London to watch certaion celebraties enter the cinema for the premier of star wars III. This, howeer, is not what is making me envoius.

At about 4:30 this afternoon, I received a phone call from Dan in which he did nothing but gloat, as in the background there was playing the Royal Philarmonic, conducted by David Arnold. I wish I was there. I don't care about George Lucas or Ewan MacGregor, but to see the royal Phil live in London playing music from one of the greatest composers of our time and conducted by another. envy

On another note, and yet again, Dr Who was fantastic, although on a scale of fantastic not yet seen. Quite possibly the best Dr Who ever. I tip my hat to the writer of 'Father's day'.

it's been a while

I'm very sorry to dissapiont the millions of passionate readers, but it's been a while since i last updated this blog.

Well, last Sunday I played again. Twas a little better than last time, as we had had a practice, but i was still about a chord behind everyone else on one of the songs.

Then, after lunch at the GateWay, I wentoff driving with Dan, which was great. Apparently though, he had never been up motecute tower before. I still don't believe it. We then went back to his house and watched Enterprise and Doctor Who (the one with the dalek), both of which were brilliant. Not so sure about this weeks though, but it's on in an hour and a half, so we'll see.

I started reading 1984 by Geroge Orwell. A ery interesting book, but not at all what I expected. Not a great fan of The Proles. They sort of seem to take away some of the feeling of the overbearingness of the party.

Also Red Moon Rising, which is supposed to be amazing, but I've only read the introduction so far, so I cant say much yet.
