going away

Sorry to dissapoint you avid readers of my up to the minute posting, but I am shortly to go away for three weeks. I will therefore not post until sometime this August.

I am going to Upcott, there to be a helper, looking after a group of 7-11 year olds, and then 11-14 year olds the week after. Following that, I shall hot-foot it home and join my family as we sail around four counties on a narrowboat. Perhaps sail was the wrong word...

18

I've been 18 for nearly a week now and it feels quite good. I can now sign for myself and be responsible.

But what difference does a couple of months make? My mum would often be worried that there were no over 18s when we went somewhere, but what makes someone three months older than me more responsible? That fustrates me quite a lot.

Everything is finishing at the moment. My A levels are finished, I'm leaving work, Dr who is finished (and a fine last episode it was too), Enterprise is finished (ditto), we finished 24 last week, and I am now 18. I'm generally happy at the moment.

If you are thinking of getting a digital radio, think no more, get one. BBC 7. Brilliant. Classic radio comedy at 8:00am every weekday, then at 7:00pm and again at 10:30. Great!

I say again, I do have friends...
